1 dead in southeast Fort Worth shooting, police say

FORT WORTH, Texas — UPDATE, 8:15 p.m.: Fort Worth homicide detectives are preparing a warrant for a suspect in this shooting, police said.

The shooting victim is a man, who was found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

EARLIER, 5:03 p.m.: One person is dead in a shooting at 2504 E. Maddox Ave. in southeast Fort Worth, police say. 

The shooting happened at 2:47 p.m., police said. A suspect has not been apprehended yet.
