DALLAS — Dallas Fire-Rescue recovered a body near Mountain Creek Lake around 3 p.m. Wednesday after a kayaker spotted a body in the water and called 911, officials said.
Homicide detectives with the Dallas Police Department were called to the scene to investigate after DFR pulled the body ashore.
Officials said they could not determine the race, identity or sex of the body, and are classifying the body as an unexplained death pending a ruling from the Dallas County Medical Examiners Office.
