AT&T has resolved a 911 outage across North Texas Tuesday morning.
AT&T sent an update to WFAA, shortly after 8:15 a.m. "Earlier this morning some wireless customers may have been unable to connect to 911. This has been resolved and we apologize to anyone who was affected," the statement read.
Earlier, several police departments alerted residents with AT&T service they may have issues calling 911 with their mobile phones. Dispatchers couldn't receive 911 calls from residents with AT&T service.
"URGENT NEWS: We're receiving reports that emergency dispatchers are having trouble receiving 911 calls from AT&T customers. We're told the problem is being worked on, but in the meantime please call 817-431-1515, 817-743-4522 or via the SirenGPS app, to reach us!," Keller Police Department posted on its Twitter account.
Police said in the meantime, residents should use a landline or call 911 from another cell phone service provider.
The North Central Texas Council of Governments told WFAA that they are conducting tests to determine which counties have been affected.
