SOUTHLAKE, Texas — A North Texas mansion with a hefty price tag is catching the eyes of many online after its Zillow posting went viral.
The 31,000-square-foot transitional Mediterranean gated on 3.6 acres features a myriad of amenities, which include but are not limited to: a full-size basketball court, bowling alley, batting cage, movie theater indoor glass-enclosed trampoline and a turf field backyard.
The home on Sunshine Lane was listed in December of 2022 for $19.99 million. As of this writing on Feb. 10, Zillow priced the mansion at $17.99 million.
It went viral online after being posted by the popular social media account Zillow Gone Wild.
“Here’s the most Southlake, TX home we’ve ever seen,” Zillow Gone Wild wrote on Twitter, where it was viewed more than 1 million times.
According to the Zillow listing, the home was built in 2016. Southlake is one of the wealthiest cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, with a median home value of $1,185,721, according to the Zillow. This ranked as the third-highest in the metroplex, trailing only Highland Park ($1,811,601) and University Park ($1,773,641).
Speculation swirled online as to who the owners may be. Whoever they are, they live in one of the most expensive houses in the state. According to a Houston Association of REALTORS® report released in December, this mansion was among the most expensive listings in the entire state. A $35 million Austin mansion topped that list. This Southlake mansion was the second-highest on the list.
