You’d probably agree - It’s been a chaotic election season. With that in mind, some homeowners who are considering selling their home are wondering if the election will have an impact on their bottom line.
“One of my readers asked a very good question. Should you put your home on the market before or after the election?” says Candy Evans, publisher and founder of the real estate blog candysdirt.com.
“I actually found through my responses and also through the professionals who read my blog that you should probably do it right now because there are so many unanswered questions that might happen next year.”
Candy says a few things to keep in mind are the possibility the economy might change, the policies of the new administration might change, all kinds of things might change.
That being said: “The most important thing though is that our market has been strong for so long, everyone is kind of predicting a softening coming up.” says Candy.
If you’re looking to buy, don’t forget there are plenty of neighborhoods and affordable homes to choose from in North Texas.
“We are getting more expensive, but we are still really, really affordable compared to many other markets in the United States.”
