DURANT, Okla. — Another North Texan won a million early Sunday as part of a summer promotion at Choctaw Casino & Resort.
Carl Stone of Trenton, Texas was declared the winner of the competition's second grand prize $1 million drawing, the casino announced in a press release. He is one of three rewards club members who will win $1 million this summer, the release states.
“I didn’t think I would ever win, but then it happened,” Stone said. “It felt pretty good to have my name called. I’ve never been a millionaire. The money will go to help a lot of people. I feel very fortunate.”
Stone is a general construction manager building housing additions in the North Texas area, he has been traveling to Durant since the Choctaw Bingo Hall opened more than 30 years ago, the release states. He plans to use the winnings to help his kids, three sons and a daughter, and his three grandchildren.
A 30-year-old woman from Collin County, who chose to remain anonymous, won the first drawing in June.
The last million-dollar drawing will be held Saturday, Aug. 24 at 1 a.m. Winners must be present to claim the prize. Players started earning entries to the three drawings on May 26 at 12 a.m. For full rules go here.
