Swiss watch company Richard Mille is touching down in the ritzy Highland Park Village in spring 2025. The two-story store will be the luxury brand’s only location in Texas.
Worn by CEOs, sports stars, rappers and other influential public figures, Richard Mille’s arrival in North Texas is huge news in the world of luxury and fashion. Their watches are often tailored for athletes and other superstars and can sell for more than $1 million apiece.
The new store is located between storefronts for New York-based Khaite and Oscar de la Renta. A spokeswoman with Highland Park Village said Richard Mille isn't replacing any retailer but rather is creating new space.
"Richard Mille is an exceptional brand that is at the forefront of innovation in the watchmaking industry," Stephen Summers, managing director of Highland Park Village, said in a statement, who added the brand is the "epitome of cool."
A state filing from late August suggested that Richard Mille might be making its way to Texas soon, and specifically Dallas. Highland Park Village confirmed the news in a Nov. 15 statement. Work has recently begun on renovating the space.
Richard Mille's opening in the Village marks its ninth store in the United States. Some of its other locations are New York, Boston, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas and Aspen, Colo.
In Dallas, its boutique will be at 100 Highland Park Dr., suite 103, near Anthropologie, Chanel and Ralph Lauren. Timepieces will be displayed mostly on the second floor of the store, while the first floor will feature a lounge for guests. The Dallas location will also include a pool table, a racing simulator and a cinema room.
The planned layout speaks to the latest trends in luxury retail. The Richard Mille store will be divided into zones, allowing guests to have a customized experience whether enjoying an intimate, cozy lounge area to discover the selection of watches or perusing the lobby. A pool table as well as a racing simulator will provide visitors with a unique, enjoyable experience. The cinema room will showcase the love and connection that Richard Mille has for film.
Richard Mille, which launched in 2001, fits right into the scene of luxury and affluence at Highland Park Village, which boasts other high-end brands that are also exclusive to Texas, including watch stores Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin; clothing store Carolina Herrera; and leather bag store Goyard. Both of the watch stores have opened in the past four years, speaking to the rising demand for luxury goods in Dallas.
The nearly 100-year-old shopping mall, considered the country’s first outdoor-style shopping center, opened in 1931.
