The new $5 million structure at Paradise Springs, the waterpark at the Gaylord Texan, doesn't really have a name. It's being referred to as the multi-level play structure.
"Some people also describe it as a giant treehouse," said Martha Neibling, spokesperson for the Gaylord Texan.
Whatever it's called, residents of the Gaylord Texan have the opportunity to enjoy the new structure on the hotel's 10-acre water park. The structure is child-focused, with slides and a playground feel to it.
Paradise Springs as a whole was built three years ago, Neibling said, to increase traffic during the summer. The Gaylord Texan gets a lot of business from conventions, which usually dip off during the summer months and around the winter holidays.
