SOUTHLAKE, Texas — Austin-based YETI is opening its sixth store in Texas and second in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, WFAA has confirmed.
YETI opened its newest location at 211 Grand Ave. in Southlake Town Square, according YETI officials. The store opened on Thursday, Oct. 13.
The store will celebrate its opening with an in-store musical performance from Matt Tedder on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
According to the company website, there are already 12 stores nationwide, including two in Austin, two in DFW, one in Houston and one in San Antonio. YETI products are also commonly sold at retailers like Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Walmart, Cavender's Boot City and more.
YETI's brand was built on its durable, insulated coolers and stainless steel tumblers, but has since grown to apparel, backpacks, duffel bags, stickers and more. The company also secured the main jersey sponsorship for local MLS club, Austin FC.
The Southlake Town Square features local artist murals throughout the store, aerial photography of Grapevine Lake, hanging redfish throughout and rodeo rope provided by Cactus Ropes, YETI officials said.
