A $10 million ranch with three miles of lakefront has hit the market on Possum Kingdom Lake.
Possum Kingdom Ranch boasts 546 acres in the heart of Palo Pinto County. Located on the lake's northwest side, the property was part of the historic Willingham Ranch.
The ranch features views of the lake, the surrounding countryside and several vistas showing off the hills and mountains of Palo Pinto County.
Development on the ranch started in 2006 but stopped due to a prolonged drought and the 2011 fires. The property features a 3,500-square-foot sales center, seven cabins, and two existing docks and slips on two fee simple lots.
The ownership originally planned for 360-degree lake views, high-elevation lots, a marina, walking trails, spas and restaurants. The property features 47 entitled lots and a municipal utility district.
The ranch has 320 water taps, but these don’t have water capacity. Electricity and some rural water lines are available. Some pre-development work has been completed.
David Burgher and Harlan Ray of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty are listing the property.
The property has rugged terrain and includes light to heavy trees covering open pastures, with various oaks, mesquite, elm and hackberry. Native grasses cover most of the property, which is leased for grazing.
