FORT WORTH, Texas — Professional Bull Riders, the biggest bull riding organization in the world, has officially moved its headquarters to Cowtown.
Better known as PBR, the organization confirmed it moved from its headquarters of 17 years in Pueblo, Colorado to a location in Mule Alley in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
“Fort Worth is the current location of the PBR World Finals, the Texas Rattlers competing in the PBR Camping World Team Series, our new television partner Merit Street Media, and the iconic Cowtown Coliseum, which features weekly events programmed by the organization. Moving to the heart of cowboy country positions the sport for further expansion,” PBR said in a statement to WFAA.
PBR VP/Strategic Communications Andrew Giangola told Sports Business Journal the move impacts 40 jobs that will be relocated from Pueblo to Fort Worth and that PBR will maintain a presence in its building in Pueblo into mid-2025.
The move comes after PBR moved its World Finals Championship from Las Vegas to Fort Worth in 2021. PBR moved 40 employees to work in Fort Worth before the World Championship event, according to the Fort Worth Report.
Also in 2021, PBR announced a joint venture to operate the Cowtown Coliseum and expand entertainment programming and marketing partnerships in the Stockyards along with venue operator ASM Global and Forth Worth’s Stockyards Heritage Development Co.
Dr. Phil's TV network Merit Street Media, which is headquartered in the Alliance area, announced the deal in May to carry Professional Bull Riding events on the network
The next edition of the PBR World Finals will be at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth from May 14-15 and at AT&T Stadium in Arlington from May 17-18.
