FORT WORTH, Texas — A new Target is coming to Fort Worth.
The new, 148,000-square-foot store will be on the northwest corner of McPherson Boulevard and Chisholm Trail Parkway.
Dallas-based retail development firm United Commercial Development, along with Legacy Capital Company, is developing a Target-anchored retail center on the Chisholm Trail Parkway in southwest Fort Worth. United Commercial Development President Robert Dorazil said the Target is expected to open in October 2025.
“We are very excited to bring Target to this fast-growing area of Fort Worth and plan to commence site work in the next 60 days," Dorazil said.
United Commercial Development said they’re working with several retail concepts to be located along McPherson Boulevard. Venture Commercial is handling the marketing and leasing for the development.
Last year, H-E-B bought a site on the northeast corner of the Chisholm Trail Parkway for a future store. Chili’s, Raising Canes, Chase Bank and Cava are already open or under construction at that corner.
Chisholm Trail Ranch, a 600-acre master-planned community, has seen numerous residential developments. Several other retailers are located on the corner of Chisholm Trail Parkway, including Studio Movie Grill, Marshalls, Old Navy, Ross, and more.
In the second half of 2024, three new residential communities will open either adjacent to or across the street from the Target-anchored development on the west side of the Chisholm Trail Parkway.
“In the next 18 months the intersection of McPherson Boulevard and Chisholm Trail Parkway will become the hub for commercial activity for southwest Fort Worth and neighboring cities,” Dorazil said.
