Favor launches new H-E-B grocery delivery option

Austin-based Favor announced the new service, called H-E-B Now, Thursday.

DALLAS — H-E-B fans have a new option to get their favorite items from the Texas-based grocer delivered to them in less than an hour.

Austin-based delivery platform Favor, which H-E-B has owned since 2018, announced Thursday the new service called H-E-B Now. Customers can get up to 15 items delivered in 45 minutes or less through the new service. H-E-B Now is reportedly available within an eight-mile delivery radius of H-E-B stores.

Favor says there will be no delivery or service fees on orders over $25 through the end of the year. The company’s standard delivery fee is $6, but it can vary based on location or merchant. Favor also charges a service fee and a suggested tip for drivers.

The San Antonio Express-News reports Favor will charge $4.95 for orders under $25 and the same amount after the new promotion expires at the end of the year.

The Favor app also features a new section with only H-E-B products, like produce, dairy, meat and seafood, beer and wine, household items and more.

“Available today exclusively in the Favor app, H-E-B Now offers a fast and convenient solution for busy individuals and families to take care of their last-minute grocery needs,” Favor said in a statement announcing the service.

H-E-B has more than 435 stores across Texas and Mexico and is expanding in North Texas. Here are all the recent store openings and places H-E-B plans to open new stores.

Favor, founded in 2013, operates in more than 400 cities across Texas.
