FORT WORTH, Texas — Another California company is expanding to North Texas, and it's bringing 1,000 jobs and $452 million of capital investment to the region, officials said.

DrinkPAK, a manufacturer of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, is expanding operations with the establishment of two new locations in the Fort Worth area. The two facilities will be located at Trammel Crow development at 35 Eagle on I-35W and Eagle Parkway, and at Carter Park East, officials said in a press release.

These two new facilities will produce various beverages, including energy drinks, sodas, waters, hard seltzers, canned cocktails, milk and milk-alternative beverages like canned cold brew and oat milk-based drinks. DrinkPAK, which is headquartered in Santa Clarita, Calif., operates a facility in the Los Angeles area that produces 2.1 billion cans annually.

Some of the brands featured in pictures on DrinkPAK's website include Celsius, Arizona tea and Casa Azul, a canned tequila soda.

"We are thrilled to expand our advanced manufacturing organization in Fort Worth and look forward to creating new jobs, working with local businesses, and becoming an integral part of the community,” said Nate Patena, Chief Executive Officer of DrinkPAK. “The City of Fort Worth, Denton County and Tarrant County have been incredible partners in this process, and we are grateful for the opportunity to build two new state-of-the-art facilities that will enable us to manufacture more high-quality drinks for the best brands in the world.”

DrinkPAK's expansion will bring 1,000 jobs to the DFW area by 2026, the company said, hiring for roles in production, batching, quality, maintenance, engineering, warehousing and more. The company will hold a career fair in early 2024, but anyone can look at jobs on their website here.

"DrinkPAK will make a great new addition to Fort Worth's dynamic ecosystem of technologically-driven manufacturing companies," said Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker. "We appreciate their commitment and investment in our community, and look forward to welcoming them to Fort Worth."

Denton County Judge Andy Eads said DrinkPAK has committed to paying those jobs, on average, an annual salary of $70,000.

One of the facilities will be 1.5 million square feet and will feature five high-speed production lines and an automated variety repacking line for alcohol, non-alcoholic and water beverages. The other facility is 1.1 million square feet and will feature three high-speed production lines for milk and milk-alternative beverages.
