American Airlines Group Inc. will add flights between Cape Cod and two major cities next year.

The Fort Worth-based airline will offer service from Chicago and Philadelphia to Hyannis, Massachusetts, where Cape Cod Gateway Airport is located. The move is expected to boost summer tourism in the area, which is a popular beach destination.

The new seasonal routes will begin in June 2025.

American (Nasdaq: AAL) will also cut routes in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Spokane, Washington, and from Chicago to Reno, Nevada, the airline confirmed.

Daily flights will begin to operate between Cape Cod and Philadelphia on June 19, 2025. These flights will run through Sept. 2, 2025. Saturday-only flights from Chicago to Cape Cod will begin June 21, 2025, and run-through Sept. 2, 2025.

American will also add new limited-time routes for the spring break season and connect Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Springfield, Missouri, to Miami from Feb. 15, 2025, to March 29, 2025.
