THE COLONY, Texas — A one-of-a-kind wellness destination will change the way people think of self-care. World Springs in The Colony allows you to visit the world’s best hot springs in one location.
Nine countries are featured in over ten acres and forty-six bodies of water. Offering peace, tranquility and time away from your busy life.
"No one is on their phone. And so, it's a really great place to come and disconnect from everything else that's going around us," Amelia Worley, a World Springs employee, said.
Instead of being absorbed in your phone, you’re immersed in a variety of minerals formulated for each heated pool.
"Think about the world's best hot springs," Worley said. "There are minerals from the earth that are supporting those bodies of water. We've essentially taken that recipe, dumped it into the waters here to provide your body with a wonderful benefit from a wellness standpoint."
Amelia Worley with World Springs says minerals like potassium, silica and lithium are added to the pools to benefit the body.
"We'd encourage you to hop in a cold plunge for a few minutes, jump into one of our America's region's bodies of water and what it will provide you with is some stress relief and muscle relaxation," Worley said. "There's magnesium in this water which is supportive of all those things. Spend some time in the sauna, grab a smoothie then do it all over again."
Each region of the world offers specific wellness benefits. Stress reduction is encouraged in their European hot springs and their most popular body of water is formulated to relieve joint pain.
"It embodies the Dead Sea in Israel. It has tons, literal tons of salt in the water that makes you feel buoyant. You get into this body of water, and you'll float. It's great for the skin, feels incredible for the body," Worley said.
Maximizing the pool's benefits is a team of 250 people who work to support World Springs’ water quality, clarity and safety.
"We love for our guests to hop and bop around the property and spend fifteen to twenty minutes in each body of water and they should be able to visit all nine countries in a three-hour soak," Worley said.
Guests go around the world without leaving North Texas.
World Springs South Pacific Region and Globe Pool are open to kids, but the rest of the property is for adults only.
They also offer other recoveries like cryotherapy, norma tech boots and red light therapy.
