CARROLLTON, Texas — Five-year-old cat, Stella Ella, is ready for a forever home but she wants to meet you through a video call first.
Like so many job interviews and dates these days, Stella Ella prefers to start off with a "Zoom date" through Operation Kindness.
The "shy but special" cat has been with the nonprofit for 282 days, according to a press release from Operation Kindness.
Stella Ella was found stuck in a car engine in 2019. Operation Kindness treated Stella's injured tail and found her a new family. Sadly, the family moved in November and wasn't able to keep her, the release states.
The noise and activity of Operation Kindness' Carrolton shelter didn't appeal to Stella Ella so she has mostly stayed in Operation Kindness foster homes. The nonprofit is offering meet and greets with Stella via Zoom so you can learn a bit more about her before adopting or bringing her home through Operation Kindness' Foster First program.
"Once you fall for Stella Ella, be ready for some special love," the release states. "Her foster mom calls her a 'Velcro cat' who bonds fast with her new companions."
Stella Ella is suitable for apartments and has spent time in foster homes with dogs and cats, the release states. Her adoption will be free this weekend, starting Saturday, Sept. 7.
