GRAPEVINE, Texas — Get ready to celebrate Christmas in July with ICE! Attraction. The popular holiday exhibit announced this year's theme is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
The annual ice sculpture exhibit will run from Nov. 15 through Jan. 5 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine.
The Rudolph displays will guide visitors through more than 10 immersive scenes with six two-story tall ice slides and plenty of photo opportunities to capture holiday memories. The resort will also have Christmas activities such as an ice tubing hill, ice skating rink, live shows, photos with Santa and more.
The 2 million pounds of ice used are hand-carved by a team of 40 experts over 40 days. To preserve the attraction for its full run, the exhibit is kept at 9 degrees Fahrenheit, and guests are given complimentary blue parkas to stay warm inside.
The ice sculpture attraction debuted at the Gaylord Texan Resort in 2006 and last year's theme was "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." The resort property is decorated for the festivities with over 2 million holiday lights, 15,000 ornaments and a 54-foot-tall rotating Christmas tree.
Overnight guests at the resort can access resort-only benefits including the Extra Cool Hour and Chill Pass, which allow overnight visitors early admission into ICE! and the Christmas Village, and front-of-the-line access to the attraction.
If you're already feeling the holiday spirit, special early-bird packages and tickets are now available here.
