ALEDO, Texas — The holidays are here and like most of us, Aledo ISD's Walsh Elementary likes decorating for the season.

Unfortunately, indecision on where to place some decorations led to an unlikely battle between Aledo ISD Officer Simpson and a Christmas tree near the school's front entrance.

In a video posted to the district's Facebook page, Simpson can be seen attempting to relocate the tree. His strategy involved scooting the tree by its base, but the laws of physics had other plans. The tree toppled over, briefly pinning Simpson beneath its branches.

A little fun to end your week... in the ongoing battle at Walsh Elementary over where the tree should be placed... the tree clearly WON! 🎄🤣 Happy Friday, Bearcat friends! (And, of course, posted with permission from Officer Simpson - who is A-OK 👌) #AllinAledo #GrowingGreatness #FridayFunny

For a few seconds, Simpson lays still, conceding defeat to the lengthy tree.

After some time, Simpson was able to crawl out from under the tree and laugh it off and, according to Aledo ISD, he was physically unharmed. The tree, however, may have sustained a bit of damage in the tussle.

So, if you’re considering moving your tree at home, think twice—battling a Christmas tree might not end in your favor.
