DALLAS — The celebrations keep coming for the Dallas Stars! The team leads the Central Division standings, and now its captain has revealed that he got engaged over the holidays.
Jamie Benn announced on Instagram he ‘locked’ it in with his partner, Jessica Bennet, over Christmas.
It was the first picture he’s posted of the two on his profile -- and in epic fashion!
In a video, Bennett shared the two holding hands as she wears the stunning oval diamond with the caption, “made for each other.”
The couple has been linked since the beginning of this year.
The Dallas Stars franchise also shared a photo of the happy couple, and we're a little sad we didn't beat them to this perfect caption: "Love's Benn in the air"
Benn, who has been with the Stars since being drafted in 2007, just hit a milestone after he had a secondary assist against the Edmonton Oilers for his 800th career point. The 33-year-old is also in the middle of a 5-game point streak.
He’s currently ranks fourth in team scoring and is the third all-time leading scorer for the Minnesota-Dallas franchise that began play in 1967, behind only Mike Modano (1,359 points) and Neal Broten (867).
Hopefully, the accolades keep coming for one of the team's biggest stars, including another a ring with the Stanley Cup!
Congratulations to Benn and his bride-to-be.
