TEXAS, USA — Whataburger has kicked off the New Year with a new limited time item: the boneless WhataWings.
Each order of WhataWings comes with nine wings, tossed in one of the four sauce choices:
- Honey Butter
- Buffalo
- Honey BBQ
- Sweet & Spicy sauce
You can order them "dry," but according to Whataburger Chief Administrative Officer Alexander Ivannikov, the new item is as much about the sauces as it is the chicken.
“Our customers have a passion for Whataburger’s proprietary sauces. So, we’re excited to spread our wings around that enthusiasm by pairing favorites like Honey Butter and Sweet & Spicy with our premium chicken tender bites,” said Ivannikov.
The WhataWings are only here for a limited time, though, so get your fix before they're gone! Pricing and availability vary by market, but the wings go for $8.99 in Texas' four major metroplexes of Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. If you want to order them in a meal combo option with fries and a drink, it bumps up to $11.99.
The WhataWings come as Whataburger's latest venture into chicken items after it debuted the spicy chicken sandwich in 2020.
