DALLAS — Dallas-based Smoothie King has just launched its latest menu items: a new GLP-1 Support Menu for people who use drugs like Ozempic.
The menu is made up of five smoothies specifically designed for people using GLP-1, a class of medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. Two of the more popular drugs in this group are Ozempic and Wegovy. Each smoothie contains at least 20 grams of protein or more, are rich in fiber and have zero grams of added sugar.
The new Smoothie King menu is to support people taking these medicines; meaning the drinks are designed to aid in weight loss.
The five options are:
- Gladiator GLP-1
- Protein (in chocolate, vanilla or strawberry) with the choice of two ingredients from almonds, almond butter, wild blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, organic ginger, kale, carrots or spinach
- Slim N Trim GLP-1 Mango Greens
- Mangoes, Greek yogurt, almond milk, Slim N Trim blend, organic kale, ginger and spinach for 200 calories and 22g of protein
- Keto Champ GLP-1 (available in berry or chocolate)
- Berry: Almond milk, almond butter, wild blueberries, raspberries, keto protein blend and cocoa
- Chocolate: Almond milk, almond butter, keto protein blend, cocoa and stevia
- Activator Recovery GLP-1 Almond Berry
- Almond milk, strawberries, wild blueberries, coconut water and strawberry protein powder
- Power Meal Slim GLP-1 (available in chocolate, vanilla or strawberry)
- Chocolate: Bananas, almond milk, protein powder and 100% cocoa
- Vanilla: Bananas, almond milk and protein powder
- Strawberry: Bananas, strawberries and protein powder
The drinks will be available to order nationwide in all 1,200 stores, online or via the Smoothie King app starting on Oct. 29.
