CINCINNATI — UPDATE: Kroger posted the following message on its website: "All of the digital coupons for a FREE pint of Kroger® Brand Ice Cream have been scooped up!"
Looking for a cool way to kick off summer?
Kroger will be giving away 45,000 pints of free ice cream on Thursday, June 20.
That's 50 pints of free Kroger-brand ice cream per minute for the 15 hours of sunlight that day. That's 900 minutes of sunlight and 45,000 pints of ice cream.
"Summer means more time with family, more time by the pool and more time indulging in our favorite treats, and nothing says a perfect summer day like sunshine and Kroger® Brand ice cream," said Juan De Paoli, vice president of Our Brands for Kroger.
On June 20, fans can visit FreeKrogerIceCream.com to scoop up a free pint with a single-use digital coupon.
Here's how to get the coupon:
- Once you are on the website, scroll down to the blue section that says "Get a Free Pint of Kroger Brand Ice Cream."
- Click the button that says "Sign In To Clip." You will need to sign in to your Kroger account — or create one.
- Once signed in, click the button that says "Clip."
- The coupon for a free pint of Kroger Brand Ice Cream of any variety will appear in the "My Coupons" section of your account.
- To use the digital coupon, you'll want to purchase the item like you normally would.
- If you're buying in the store, scan your Kroger Shopper's Card or enter your alternate ID at the register.
- The discount will automatically be applied to your purchase.
The coupon is good while supplies last on Thursday, June 20 and can be used at many Kroger store locations.
