TROPHY CLUB, Texas — The Keith Lee effect remains strong in North Texas. Famous TikTok food critic Keith Lee and his family made another stop at a North Texas barbecue restaurant this week.
Lee, a former MMA fighter turned TikTok-famous food critic with more than 16 million followers stopped in Dallas-Fort Worth for a food tour in late January-early February.
Since then, Lee went back to North Texas in July to revisit what he thought was one of his favorite stops on his DFW food tour, but got the restaurants mixed up.
Lee said on TikTok at the time that he was back in Dallas to revisit Hutchins BBQ, but ended up at The Original Roy Hutchins Barbeque in Trophy Club. The two barbecue joints are owned by members of the same family but are distinctly different. There was a legal battle to establish a difference.
It was apparently a happy mistake because Lee and his family went back to The Original Roy Hutchins Barbeque Wednesday night.
“It was a pleasure to serve the Lee family during their visit last night!” the restaurant wrote in an Instagram post. “From our family to yours! We are truly grateful for the Lee family, for everythingthey have done for us and the DFW area. We can’t wait to have y’all again, we’ve got the BBQ and the peach cobbler ready!”
Earlier this year, Lee visited Terry Black's Barbecue, Thunderbird Pies, Halal Fusionz, Hutchins BBQ, Absolutely Edible Cakes, Sweetly Seasoned, Brunchaholics, CeeZoos Bar & Lounge, and Roots Southern Table on his DFW food tour.
