ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington, did you feel the boom?
The Costco guys, a.k.a. AJ and Big Justice, were at Hurtado Barbecue in Arlington doing one of their signature food reviews.
Instead of Double Chunk Chocolate Cookies and Chicken Bakes, the father-son duo was rating the Hurtado's chopped brisket sandwich on the "Boom meter." Hurtado got a glowing review: Five big booms.
Hurtado posted the clip of the review with the caption "Got some big booms today in Arlington."
Who are the Costco guys?
For those who aren't chronically online, the Costco guys are a father-son duo made up of AJ, the dad, and his son, Big Justice. The pair got initial internet fame through a video inside a Costco, where they said "We're Costco guys of course we..." and filled in the blank with all their antics inside Costco.
AJ is famous for his love of the Costco Double Chunk Chocolate Cookie, while Big Justice opts for the Chicken Bake.
While AJ and Big Justice are the original Costco guys, there's an expanded universe around the duo that's contributed to their ongoing internet celebrity. Within the Costco guys' family, there's also Mama Justice — AJ's wife and Big Justice's mom — and Ashley — AJ's daughter and Big Justice's sister.
Perhaps the most popular character in the expanded universe is the Rizzler. Though unrelated to the Costco guys by blood, he's been featured in a number of their videos and the crew remix of their viral song "We Bring the BOOM."
The Costco guys, ever-building their brands, also go around doing food reviews. In the reviews, they give food a ranking on the "Boom meter," where they typically rank it from one to five booms. But, if something stinks, they give it a doom.
Why was AJ wearing a boot?
You may notice AJ was in a boot in the clip. That's because the internet personality is also a wrestling star. Known as 'Big Boom' AJ in the ring, he broke his foot ahead of an AEW wrestling match with QT Marshall.
Regardless, AJ still wrestled through the injury and brought the BOOM, beating Marshall.
