TEXAS, USA — Over the past few years, more videos come out from a social media trend taking on Texas: British influencers coming to the Lone Star State to indulge in the food and culture we have to offer.
It's an entertaining and endearing reaction, as they compare the lifestyle we live to the one they know across the pond.
The latest example comes in the form of British influencers, Josh and Jace, who came to America and spent their Fourth of July weekend in Central Texas. The duo enjoyed everything from the renowned barbecue from Terry Black's BBQ, a grocery store run to H-E-B and learned about the glorious world of food trucks, Tex-Mex and breakfast tacos (don't mind how he ate the breakfast taco, we all know it's just wrong).
They also tried pizza from some popular Texas spots, including Home Slice in Austin and Big Lou's in San Antonio.
Another British influencer on TikTok, @imjuniormukendi, garnered millions of views in June for his review of Killen's BBQ in the Houston area. The brisket made him call his momma to tell her he wasn't coming back home.
His Whataburger review might "Tik off" a few Texans, though. It seems like he got a No. 1 Whataburger, and he said the burger "ain't nothing special" and called it an "Okay burger." He did like the spicy ketchup with his fries and Dr Pepper shake.
