DALLAS — Ahead of Game 5 of the NBA Finals, where the Mavericks play the Celtics in Boston, Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy posted a review of an iconic Dallas pizzeria.
Portnoy, a Celtics fan, has an internet show called "One Bite Pizza Reviews". He takes the show on the road, reviewing pizzerias around the world and rating them on a zero to 10 scale.
While in Dallas, Portnoy gave his take on Louie's off Henderson Ave. This was his second pizza review in Dallas within the last week.
"People know my tavern score... 7.5 is like the baseline. This is better," Portnoy said.
He gave Louie's a 7.6 out of 10. Only 20 pizzas have ever been ranked 9.0 or higher by Portnoy.
According to Portnoy's One Bite app, Louie's is the top-ranked pizza in Dallas.
"If you're a Chicago person living in Dallas, this is as good as tavern as you're going to find," Portnoy said during his review. "This is like hometown pizza for you folks."
Louie's is no stranger to the spotlight. It has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and bolsters multiple local awards.
Louie's is iconic for its Chicago-style thin crust pizza.
