DALLAS — The premier awards when it comes to culinary arts, hospitality and food have released the semifinalists for 2024, and a number of North Texas restaurants and chefs have been listed.
Established in 1990, the James Beard Foundation's Restaurant and Chef Awards recognize restaurants and chefs across 22 categories, including awards for multiple regions across the country.
"The awards recognize exceptional talent and achievement in the culinary arts, hospitality, media, and broader food system, as well as a demonstrated commitment to racial and gender equity, community, sustainability, and a culture where all can thrive," the awards state.
Here are the North Texas restaurants and chefs who made the cut this year:

The final nominees will be announced on April 3, and winners will be announced on June 10 at a ceremony at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
