DALLAS — The Dallas Zoo euthanized its giant anteater, Tullah, after her health declined in recent weeks, the zoo said in a social media post.
Tullah, the 14-year-old female giant anteater was euthanized Saturday, Nov. 16, the zoo said. Caretakers recently noticed a change in Tullah's health and appetite, the post reads. Veterinarians closely monitored her, but her health declined in recent weeks and her caretakers made the decision to euthanize her, the zoo said.
"Tullah was deeply loved and cared for every step of the way," the post reads. "She will be dearly missed by all who knew her."
