Fort Worth's Bowie House earns a spot on TIME Magazine's 2024 World’s Greatest Places

The hotel is the only Texas location to make the list. The hotel located in Fort Worth's cultural district began accepting reservations in August 2023.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Bowie House, one of several luxury hotels to open in Fort Worth over the last several years, earned a spot on TIME's list of greatest places in the world this week.

The hotel, which is in the Auberge Resorts Collection, opened last August. It's the lone representative from Texas in the list which includes dozens of high-end hotels and destinations ranging from the Matterhorn Alpine Crossing in Switzerland and Italy to the White Dessert Hotel in Antarctica.

Bowie House is described as a "luxury, urban retreat embodying the unique character of Fort Worth," in a press release announcing its opening. The hotel has 88 rooms,  12 Lofts and 6 Suites. Several of the rooms have balconies that look over the hotel's courtyard gardens, according to the release.

“Fort Worth is a culturally rich gem with some of the best parks, gardens, museums, restaurants and entertainment in Texas, and we are excited to help open up this city to global travelers while providing a new and exciting home base for our beloved community," said Gaylord Lamy, general manager, Bowie House, Auberge Resorts Collection.

Along with hotel rooms for visitors, the hotel has a variety of restaurants, bars and a spa that make it an attractive space for Fort Worth locals too. The hotel also boasts four meeting rooms for weddings and events.

Be warned, if you want to enjoy one of the top places to stay in the world, you'll have to pay a premium price, right now room rates start at $429 a night.
