DALLAS — Dallas Animal Services and Adoption Center says it is at critical capacity with only 12 open kennels available.
They're holding free adoptions, and even if you come in and didn't see a pet that's right for you, they encourage you to come back because they're getting dozens of new pets every day. Dallas Animal Services told WFAA on Wednesday there were over 400 dogs in need of adoption.
The shelter posted an update to their Facebook page Saturday morning, where they did a walk through of the shelter showing some of the pups needing a forever home. Watch the video here to see if one of the pets may be right for you:
Dallas Animal Services is located at 818 N Westmoreland Rd.
If you're interested in fostering, Dallas Animal Services said to come in and they'll get you squared away.
"Please open your heart and home to these pets in need. Time is running out. Share, adopt, foster – make a difference today," the shelter pleaded in its Facebook post.
There will also be adoptable pets on May 5 at The Barking Project Event. It'll be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lot between Mutts and The Rustic, located at 3656 Howell St. The adoptable pets attending the event are:
