DALLAS — Apps like Chat GPT can create incredible photos, videos and music. But now, artificial intelligence can fill your stomach.
Dallas-based Velvet Taco has unveiled its newest weekly taco feature, or WTF, and it didn’t come from a chef.
“It was completely created by A.I.,” said Chef and Velvet Taco director of culinary Venecia Willis.
Willis says she was curious about A.I. technology and wondered what kind of taco a computer could concoct. So, using the ingredients already on hand, she put some basic information into Chat GPT and asked the program to create a recipe.
“It spit out this amazing taco,” she said.
It actually spit out four recipes, which Willis and her team prepared exactly how the program designed. After tasting all four, the team said one taco rose above the rest.
“This is a unique surf and turf taco.”
The Chat GP-Taco is flank steak, shrimp, red chile aioli, chimichurri, crispy potatoes, grilled onion, queso fresco, jalapeno, and cilantro on a corn tortilla.
Since it’s a WTF taco, it’s only available through July 25 at every Dallas-Fort Worth location.
