Portillo's Chicago-style hot dog chain sets sights on Fort Worth, their fourth in Texas

The iconic restaurant is known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chocolate cake, and shakes.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Portillo's newest Texas location in Forth Worth now has an opening date!

The location at 8789 Tehama Ridge Parkway will start serving customers on January 11, 2024.

The iconic restaurant is known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, crispy, crinkle-cut French fries, chocolate cake, and shakes.

The 7,800-square-foot restaurant will seat 165 customers inside, with room for an additional 50 on the outdoor patio. 

The grand opening celebration is happening at 10 a.m.. Thursday, January 11.

It will be the chain's fourth location in Texas. Portillo's already has locations in Arlington, Allen, and The Colony.

Portillo’s started in 1963 when Dick Portillo invested $1,100 into a small trailer to open his first hot dog stand in Villa Park, IL, which he called “The Dog House.” As of today, the company has more than 70 locations spread out across nine states.
