Magic Mike fans can step inside the movies in North Texas

The show takes over Stonebriar Mall on a traveling 630-seat venue.

FRISCO, Texas — Fans of the Magic Mike films now have a chance to step inside one of the movie scenes.

Magic Mike Live is landing at Stonebriar Mall through June 11, bringing with it performers from across the globe to put on a show like the ones see on the big screen.

“The last 30 minutes of (Magic Mike’s Last Dance) are similar to what we do here at Magic Mike Live,” said executive producer Vincent Marini.

It all happens in a custom-built, 630-seat venue designed in Belgium and well-traveled across the world to hold the elaborately choreographed performances that include dancing, acrobatics, and live music.

Performer Kalon Badenhorst of South Africa plays the role of Mike for the show and said you should set aside any pre-conceived notions that the performance is simply shirtless hardbodies.

“People think it is geared towards women, but we have had everyone come watch our shows. Men, women, couples on a date,” said Badenhorst.

Magic Mike Live shows will happen in Frisco through June 11 on with 10 shows a week happening Wednesday – Sunday.
