DALLAS — One of the greatest artists in history and his classic paintings are getting a 21st century update.
On Thursday, the Immersive Monet and The Impressionists experience opens in Dallas. It will give guests a view of Monet’s art like they’ve never seen before.
“This is a really epic, sort of, manifestation of what’s possible,” said Josh Jacobs, CEO of Impact Museums.
Jacobs is part of the team behind the experience at Lighthouse Artspace. Guests will step inside the paintings of Monet and other impressionists and be able to see how the artists captured the beauty of nature.
With 500,000 cubic feet and one million frames of video, it’s the largest immersive art experience in America.
Jacobs told WFAA even if you’re not an art expert, you’ll be captivated.
“The best way to describe it is you get a real feeling for what that entire era was like,” Jacobs said.
This isn’t the first art experience to come through Dallas, either. In 2021, 5 million tickets were sold for the immersive Van Gogh experience, and Jacobs said this one should be just as popular.
“It’s absolutely worth getting out, getting tickets and bringing your family,” Jacobs said.
The experience opens Thursday, June 30 and runs through September 11.
