DALLAS -- Tucked away in Dallas' Preston Hollow neighborhood, Larissa and her husband KC are living a childhood dream, maybe fantasy is a better word.
"I just think it's a really magical place. It's just really beautiful. It just has this beautiful warm and cozy vibe to it," Larissa said.
Nine feet above the ground, this massive tree house is their escape.
"We just wanted to really, kind of stop time, I know it sounds silly, but with a tree house, you really stop time," Larissa said.
It's far from a DIY project. Their story starts in Fall City Washington, the company, Nelson Treehouse and Supply.
Their custom built treehouses are featured on the Animal Planet Show's "Treehouse Masters." KC and Larrissa's episode follows the entire build from the ground up.
Three live Oak trees support the entire structure.
Head inside and you're hardly camping.
"We wanted to have this place to disconnect and just like have a conversation or just hang out," Larrisa said.
There's one bedroom one bath and loft and natural wood dominates the design throughout.
Luxury comes at a price. On average, a 250-square foot tree house built by the same company will set you back $275,000.
At that price, you may consider moving in full time.
