DALLAS — Want to be “in the room where it happens” when "Hamilton" returns to Dallas?
Tickets for the Tony-winning musical are on sale now on Broadway Dallas’ website. The show, part of Broadway Dallas’ Germania Insurance Broadway series, runs May 8-June 9 at the Winspear Opera House.
Based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, the hit musical follows the rise of founding father Alexander Hamilton.
"Hamilton" features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. In addition to its 11 Tony Awards, it has won Grammy, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors, according to Broadway Dallas’ website.
Produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman, and the Public Theater, the musical features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
After its run at the Winspear, Hamilton will play at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth June 11-23.
