DALLAS — Crack open an Alamo Beer because the iconic Texas-based animated sitcom "King of the Hill" is coming back for a new season!

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news Tuesday morning that the classic series would be rebooted at Hulu.

“We are all so excited to welcome back Hank, Peggy and Bobby, and to see what they have to say about the world we live in and continue the conversations we began years ago,” Craig Erwich, president, ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Branded Television streaming originals, told the Hollywood Reporter. “This show has all of the perfect ingredients to meet this moment in animation at Hulu, and we’re so thankful to be having those conversations alongside this talented group.”

Both creators of the original series, Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, are set to return to executive produce, and five of the voice actors will be returning as well. That includes the voices of Peggy and Bobby Hill, Connie, Bill, and Dale Gribble. Judge also voices the main character: Hank Hill.

One question headed into the next series many fans will have is what will be done with Luanne and Lucky, who were voiced by Brittany Murphy and Tom Petty, respectively, both of whom died in the years after the original series concluded.

"King of the Hill" began in 1997 and ran for 13 seasons at Fox before being canceled. This is the second animated sitcom Hulu is bringing back, alongside a planned revival of "Futurama."

The series followed a family in the small town of Arlen, Texas, a fictional city meant to be a suburb in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and was renowned for its accuracy to Texas living, as well as its heart and humor.
