State Fair of Texas announces live music lineup

Fairgoers will have the chance to see hundreds of live performances on three stages, the fair announced Tuesday.

DALLAS — Over a hundred artists will perform on three stages at the State Fair of Texas this year, the fair announced Tuesday.

There will be live performances across all genres for all 24 days of the 2024 State Fair, and all the performances are free with an admission ticket, the fair said in a press release.

The 25 headliners scheduled to perform on the Chevrolet main stage is the fair's biggest top-talent lineup ever, Jason Hays, senior vice president of brand experience said in a release. Its headliners include country musician Jo Dee Messina, rap legend Big Daddy Kane, North Texas pop-punk heroes Bowling for Soup, acclaimed hometown songwriter Joshua Ray Walker, Austin indie favorite Shaky Graves, rock singer Grace Potter, soul performers St. Paul & The Broken Bones, '90s favorites Spin Doctors, and '70s icons Foghat, Jefferson Starship and The Commodores, among others.

The fair will also host several additional performances every day on its other stages, including the Bud Light Stage near Cotton Bowl Stadium and the Yuengling Flight Stage located outside the GO TEXAN Pavilion, which will host a Friday night comedy series titled 'Deep Fried Comedy.'

“The excitement is palpable as we prepare to welcome an extraordinary array of talent across all our stages that promises to create unforgettable moments for fairgoers," Hayes said in the release.
