DALLAS — Happening in a galaxy not far away at all: The first-ever Rebel Scum Con is debuting in North Texas this summer and is dedicated to Star Wars fans alike!

It's happening from June 27-30 at the Marriott Dallas Allen Hotel & Convention Center in Allen, Texas. North Texas-based Rebelscum.com, the largest and oldest independent Star Wars fan website, is hosting the convention.

Expect cosplay, ridiculous merchandise (and we want all of it) signings, panels, vendors, and more. The fan-focused convention will have an entire galaxy's worth of Star Wars guests and activities planned outside of the convention center.

For the gamers, RSC will also be hosting the "The Battle for North Texas" tournament, a "Star Wars Legion" tournament, and an "X-Wing Miniatures tourney.

"We are dedicated to celebrating the rich and iconic galaxy far, far away and fostering a sense of community among collectors, fans, and cosplayers of all ages," organizers said on its website.

More than 30 celebrities from across the Star Wars saga are expected to make an appearance, including headliner guest Ahmed Best.

Ahmed Best, best known for playing Jar Jar Binks in the Prequel Trilogy and most recently Kelleran Beq in The Mandalorian, will be in attendance. So for all the autograph chasers, the celebrity lineup will feature more legendary heroes and notorious villains representing all eras of Star Wars.

The four-day convention will appeal to younger fans drawn to the newer animated television shows as well as die-hard loyalists who have been following the pop culture phenomenon since the original “Star Wars” trilogy.

Four-day passes and VIP ticket options are still available on the event's website.

May the Force be with you, always.
