DALLAS — Cirque du Soleil will unveil a new country-themed show at the State Fair of Texas this year.
Songblazers will pay tribute to the legendary and modern trailblazers of country music. Per usual with Cirque du Soleil shows, guests will witness acrobatics, aerial acts and displays of strength.
This brand-new show is taking place at the Music Hall in Fair Park from Sept. 25 to Oct. 20.
"It’s incredibly exciting to fuse together the acrobatic artistry of Cirque du Soleil and the soul-stirring melodies of beloved country rhythms. We are looking forward to bringing Songblazers to Dallas with our partner Broadway Dallas during the well-loved State Fair of Texas" says Duncan Fisher, President of Touring Shows at Cirque du Soleil.
The show will premiere in Nashville, TN before making stops in Austin and San Antonio. With the 33-show Dallas run coinciding with the State Fair of Texas, each ticket to Songblazers will include free admission to the Fair.
The last time Broadway Dallas hosted a show during the State Fair was in 2013, according to Broadway Dallas.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 25 for Club Cirque members and Broadway Dallas patrons. The general on-sale starts on Thursday, March 28. You can find ticket information here.
