DALLAS — What would happen if Frankenstein's monster had the benefit of a tanning bed for a jolt or two? Find out in the 'Coming of Rage' rom-com called "Lisa Frankenstein."

Set in the late 1980s, a wide-eyed, awkward teen named Lisa enjoys visiting a local cemetery for bachelors (Watch out ABC reality show alums!). She's drawn to one particularly dashing dead dude from the Victorian era. And when a storm awakes him, they find their way to each other. Tough to keep a creature like that around the house without raising suspicion, but they do their best.

One problem: He's missing a few key body parts. So, they go about 'procuring' them. She works after school as a seamstress, so no problem sewing them on. OK, so two problems: The handsome corpse doesn't speak either.

But the strong, silent type can be attractive, right?

Lisa is played by Kathryn Newton, and she is especially darling. Former Disney darling Cole Sprouse plays “The Creature." He trained with a mime to master the movements, and you can tell he's having a great time. But Lisa’s stepmother played by Carla Gugino steals the show in a small role.

"Lisa Frankenstein" is written by Oscar-winner Diablo Cody and directed by Zelda Williams, Robin Williams' daughter with her first feature. They make great creative partners. As for the 80s? You won't realize how much you miss the era 'til you're back again. This is a cute date movie. Who knows - it might just give your relationship a needed ‘spark!’ Happy Valentine’s Day
