The staring spectators were promoting the highly anticipated sequel to the 2022 horror hit, Smile, which is coming to theaters on Thursday, October 17. The sequel goes deeper into the terrifying curse that forces its victims to smile before meeting a gruesome end.
Last year, actors were hired to stand in the crowd at a Yankees and Mets MLB game with creepy smiles etched across their faces.
While the internet went wild after the woman was spotted behind home plate, fans watching games at home started to keep their eyes open for even more of these smiling statues at different MLB games.
Smile 2 had its world premiere in London last week; the movie opens in theaters on Oct. 17.
