DALLAS — If you are looking to watch "Joker: Folie À Deux" on the biggest screen possible, Cinemark Dallas is presenting a unique opportunity for cinephiles.
Cinemark Dallas, located at 11819 Webb Chapel Road, will be one of 11 theaters in the world screening the "Joker" sequel in IMAX 70mm format, according to a press release from Cinemark.
The Cinemark location is the only theater in the state to film the screen in that format, which is considered the widest and most high-quality format possible, according to the release.
It's worth pointing out, the movie was shot with digital IMAX cameras -- not on 70mm film. So the film had to be converted into the 70mm format for these screenings.
"Joker: Folie À Deux" is a follow-up to Todd Phillips' 2019 film, "Joker," which was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, winning two — Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix and Best Original Score.
