Things to do in Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend: Black Film Fest, beer party, fundraising festival and more

After weeks of rain, fog, and freezing temps, there's FINALLY a chance to warm up and enjoy some sun.

DALLAS — 🎶 "I can see clearly now the fog is gone... I can an entire weekend in my way..."

There's one more round of rain expected on Friday, then we can expect sunshine and non-freezing temps (*gasp*).

And there's plenty of chances to soak up that sun around North Texas!

Here's a look at what's happening this weekend:

Friday, Jan. 26

Denton Black Film Festival (all weekend) 

Friday will be Day 2 of the Denton Black Film Festival's 10th anniversary.

The festival website says this year will focus on "the importance of sharing and celebrating Joy within the Black community and beyond."

The schedule is full of free film screenings, workshops, panels, spoken word, a comedy show and much more held in different spots around the Denton area.

Some events and screenings are available for purchase. Tickets start at about $40.

Saturday, Jan. 27

Community Beer Co. 11-Year Anniversary Party (Dallas)

Community Beer Company is inviting everyone to their facility on Commonwealth this Saturday.

The company will tap into their rare brews and special cocktails along with some live music and food from The Community Kitchen.

There will be multiple drink stations, tours of the brewery, a photo booth, and more.

Most of the event is free. Kids and dogs are also welcome.

General admission ($40) gives you access to the Specialty Beer, special edition glassware, and Drink card for 8 pours.

There are also VIP tickets available for $65.

Sunday, Jan. 28

Hope Healing Cancer with Music (Dallas)

Check out a one-day all-age music festival to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The festival will include five live bands, a silent auction, a full bar, concessions, and more.

This event was created by a group of DFW high school seniors who hope to raise funds and help fight against blood cancers.

Tickets are $33.
