Saturday, Dec. 23
Any time is a good time for tamales, but they feel extra special during the holiday season.
Indulge in Oaxacan tamales, margaritas, and tequila from noon to 2 p.m. at the Folklore and Tradition Artisan Boutique during the Dallas Farmer's Market.
If you register ahead for $20, you get a chicken or pork Oaxacan tamale and a copy of the "55+ Texas Trips Under 50 Travel Guide."
You could also pay at the event. Tamales will be $10.50.

Celebrate Santa's pending arrival with free movie screenings and all of the pancakes you can eat!
The Lava Cantina is hosting Pancakes and Crafts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tickets include a pancake bar, craft time and access to watch "The Santa Clause" and/or "The Santa Clause 2." The first will start at 10 a.m. and the second will begin at noon.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for kids 4 and older, and free for kids 3 and younger.
