DALLAS — So I'm NOT saying there isn't always stuff to do in North Texas, but y'all ... coming from an introvert like me, there are plenty of reasons to get out of the house this weekend (if you want)!

Here's what we found:

Friday, Feb. 17

North Texas Auto Show (Dallas)

Car fanatics, START YOUR ENGINES!

The 2023 North Texas Auto Show is taking over Dallas' Hutchison Convention Center this weekend. It started on Thursday and will run until Sunday.

There's a variety of things to check out, from vehicles on the floors to Ride & Drives and the EV Indoor Test.

Tickets are available online. They're about $15 for adults and $6 for kids. People 65 and over and/or in the military can get tickets for $10 if you bring a good ID to the box office

Heads-up: The event will only take credit and debit cards to get tickets.

Saturday, Feb. 18

Mardi Gras Carnival on the Strip (Dallas)

Raise your hand if you wish you could make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras weekend!

I'm right there with you, friend. But who says we can't bring the party to us?

Dallas' Oak Lawn area will be shut down Saturday night for Carnival on the Strip. From 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., the gayborhood will be covered with face painters, live music, drag shows, cash prizes and so much more.

If you go, be ready to let the good times roll!

Sunday, Feb. 19

Texas Theater: "The Godfather" (Dallas)

It's an offer you can't refuse (or do. I can't tell you what to do).

The Texas Theater is celebrating 50 years of "The Godfather" by showing a new 4K Restoration version.

Tickets are available for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday evening at $13.
