DALLAS — It’s Easter weekend, and the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers are just starting their season. So there’s plenty to do around North Texas for the whole family—from Easter egg hunts to Rangers or soccer games, concerts, and more.

Here’s a look at what’s happening this weekend:

Friday, March 29

An Evening With Kevin Von Erich

The wrestling legend is bringing his one-man show to the Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth. This venue has a great deal of historic value to Kevin Von Erich, as it's where he and his brothers would wrestle every single week throughout the '80s as part of World Class Championship Wrestling at the height of their popularity.

The show “Stories From the Top Rope”  in Fort Worth follows Von Erich’s first show at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas in September. Moderator (former longtime WFAA sportscaster) Dale Hansen and former World Class Championship Wrestling referee, booker and promoter David Manning will again join Von Erich on stage. Von Erich will share insights into his career, personal triumphs and tragedies, and discuss the "Iron Claw" movie.

Other Friday events:

Saturday, March 30

Texas Rangers vs. Chicago Cubs

Your defending World Series champion Texas Rangers play the Chicago Cubs again at 6:05 p.m. at Globe Life Field.

Other Saturday events:

Sunday, March 31

Easter in the Park at Klyde Warren Park (Dallas)

Pastor Richie Butler and St. Luke Community United Methodist Church will mark Easter at Klyde Warren Park downtown with gospel music, spiritual dance performances, outdoor activities and more. An egg hunt for children between 3 and 5 years old runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and an egg hunt for children between 6 and 12 runs from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
