(Well, astronomically if not meteorologically, anyway.)

That means it's officially the season of change. With flowers in blooming, trees becoming more green and days getting longer, it's perhaps time to embrace a new you, too!

Want to start this weekend? If you're looking to get off the couch and into all that North Texas has to offer, you have plenty of options for doing so these next few days.

Whether you're looking to take in a big sports match, check out some music, laugh at a comedian, take in a circus or... well, lots of things... we've provided you the following rundown of top area event options to look into below.

Friday (March 22)

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center (Dallas)

Only a few weeks remain in the NHL season, and the Dallas Stars are in third place the Central Division, sitting in solid position to make a push in the playoffs. This contest will find the bois in Victory Green™ taking on Sidney Crosby and the Pens – a team that’s maybe not having the best of seasons, either on or off the ice. Still, Crosby is one of the NHL’s all-time greats, and the chance to see him in person – and with the Stars needing every last win they can get at this point to improve their playoff seeding, no less – is always a worthwhile endeavor. Hence way tickets are hard to come by, starting at $70 a head. – Pete Freedman
