DALLAS — July in Texas is bringing the heat and plenty of fun with it!

The cold front earlier this week brought a short reprieve from triple-degree days but a stacked list of events will help make the weekend feel breezy.

Whether you’re looking to dive headfirst into a family fun outing or stroll the streets of look-a-like Paris with a glass of wine, there’s plenty to do this weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Here’s a look at what is happening this weekend.

Bastille on Bishop Festival 2024 (Dallas)

This weekend you can don a beret and get ready to rebel the French way in the Bishop Arts District!

Bastille Day is the French national holiday on July 14, 1789, that celebrates the storming of the Bastille, a military fortress and prison, leading to the French Revolution. While Texas may be nowhere near France, the festival on Bishop Avenue is a much closer way to celebrate.

The annual festival boasts Oak Cliff’s French roots with live music, street vendors and more from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

While exploring the festival itself is free, visitors interested in consuming alcohol during the event must purchase a ticket package, which includes an event wine glass and two tokens that can be redeemed for beverages. Cocktails, beer and wine all cost one token.
